COLBERT COUNTY– Three Counties are searching for a teen lost in Wilson Lake. m The boy the search and rescue started today, Thursday July 30 around 2:30 pm. According to officials a 14-year-old boy was swimming with his 12-year-old sister when he went under water. The girl ran to a relative’s home to get help.
Here is a statement from Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson:
“Prayers are going out the family and friends of a missing teen near the area of Lakewood View Rd on Wilson Lake in Colbert County. (Area known as the old Point Restaurant Pier)
Emergency crews have been on scene since around 2:30pm today, Colbert County Sheriff’s Office is on scene as well as many other agencies from Colbert, Lauderdale and Lawrence Counties and ALEA state troopers. This area is directly in the tri-county area where all three counties come together.
We thank everyone for their help and mutual aid between departments, law, fire, medical, marine, EMA and everyone involved. We pray for their safety as they help in this search.”
