DECATUR-Two Decatur teens who were reported missing on Friday, July 22 have been found. Elese Wolverton and Dajahnee Ross have been found and are safe.
The Decatur Police Department thanked, the Huntsville Police Department, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Offices, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Murfreesboro Police Department that were instrumental in finding the girls who had reportedly run away from home.
It is believed that someone may have been helping the teens run away. According to investigators with the Decatur Police even though the person aiding the girls meant no harm it is still considered interfering with custody and the person aiding and abetting could be charged with a felony.
According to authorities, there is still an ongoing investigation in Tennessee against an individual as a result of the investigation.
