Florene “Miss Flo” Raper, age 86, of Florence, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015. Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will be Wednesday, January 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Elkins with Tim Long officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Florene was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Mr. Clifford Lee Raper, and her son, Jimmy Raper.
She is survived by her son, Johnny L. Raper and his wife, Dixie; two sisters, Elvie Dowdy and Christine Pickle; two brothers, Kirk Minor and Kenneth Minor; one grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.
Miss Flo served her friends and customers at Jack’s on Florence Boulevard for 16 years and very much enjoyed all her friends and customers.
