A Celebration of Life for Mr. Mirl Michael “Uncle Mirl” Lampkin, 52 of Decatur will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Mirl was born March 4, 1963, in Morgan County, Alabama to the late H.W. and Mattie Florence Bibb Lampkin. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015, surrounded by his family at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Lampkin.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica J. Lampkin; children, Peyton Florence Lampkin and Miles Percel Buford; two sisters, Harriett Lampkin-Orr and Antonia Lampkin of Decatur; three brothers, Eddie and John Lampkin of Decatur and Chester Lampkin of Hartselle; and father and mother-in-law, George and Wilma Stone of Decatur; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
