minnieMinnie Lee Hartley, 88, of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. She was born July 23rd, 1927 to George Warren and Bammer Rosetta Conrad Thornton of Crystal Springs, MS. She was a long time resident of Morton, MS where she worked at Hartley Jewelers, Talon Zipper Plant, and Peavey Electronics. Later in life she moved to Flowood, and then to Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, graveside, officiated by Bro. Steven Evans. Interment will follow in Morton Memorial Gardens in Morton, MS. Pallbearers include Josh Hartley, Jordan Hartley, Donnie Brown, Anthony Walker, Andrew Walker, and Brian Bailey. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 1 daughter – Nancy Brown (Donnie) of Iuka, MS; 1 son – Eddie Hartley (Melanie) of Carthage, MS; 3 brothers – G.W. Thornton, II; Paul Thornton (Francis); and Grady Thornton (Bonnie); all of Crystal Springs, MS 4 grandchildren – Amy Walker (Anthony) and Rebecca Bailey (Brian), both of Saltillo, MS; Josh Hartley (Sarah) of Columbus, MS; and Jordan Hartley of Starkville, MS; and 5 great grandchildren – Andrew and Houston Walker; Jack and Emma Bailey; and Preston Hartley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Lee Hartley; one brother, Clifton Thornton; and one sister, Mary Lynn Rogers.
