Minerva  AllenMinerva Coker Allen, a lifelong resident of Greenhill, Alabama, passed peacefully on June 7, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on January 5, 1934, she lived a life defined by love, faith, and service. Minerva was the second oldest of five siblings and a devoted member of Shiloh Church of Christ for 66 years. There, she served faithfully through the meal ministry, joy bus ministry, and Vacation Bible School, always finding joy in giving her time and heart to the church and its families. Her greatest joy was preparing meals filled with love and warmth, a gift she shared generously with anyone in need. She was married to the love of her life, Henry Douglas Allen, for 64 beautiful years. Together, they built a family rich in love and legacy. Minerva was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her eyes would light up at the very mention of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her compassion, grace, humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. To be in her presence was to feel loved. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Allen Kirk (Michael); granddaughters, Allison Hope Roberson (Hunter) and Katie Morgan Richardson (Noah); and great-grandchildren, Waike (Katie), Ryker (Hope), and Kolten (Hope). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Douglas Allen; her son, Aaron Douglas Allen; her parents, Jim and Tamsie Coker; and her brothers, JT Coker, Neal Coker, Wayne Coker, and Jimmy Coker. Minerva’s legacy is one of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a heart that loved without measure. She will be missed beyond words but remembered in every warm meal, every act of kindness, and every story told around the family table. The Allen Family will receive family members and friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Tim Grigsby and Hoby Grace, with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Beloved family members Barry Coker, Mickey Coker, Dr. Bradley Coker, Greg Coker, Steve Kirk, Noah Richardson, and Hunter Roberson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Coker, Wade and Rita Coker, Penny Coker, Trish Coker, Dr. Tamsie Coker-Rogers, Jewell Coker, Bob, Kelly, and Justine Gooch, HL and Shirley Butler, Leon and Shirley Hines, Travis and Joanna Allen, Teddy and Kathy Richey, Waike Richardson, Ryker and Kolten Roberson. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at NHC in Lawrenceburg for their loving and continued care.
