Millie Draper Jordan was born on September 17, 1923, in Morgan County, Alabama, to the late Peter G. Draper and Beulah Draper. She was one of eleven children. On October 15, 2026, the Lord sent His angels to quietly escort her home from Memphis, Tennessee.

Millie was educated in the Morgan County school system. She accepted Christ and joined Mt. Mariah United Methodist Church at an early age, remaining a member until her passing.

Millie worked hard at several jobs throughout her life to provide for her family. She retired from Decatur General Hospital. She loved God, her family, and her church. She also loved flowers and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Beulah Draper; ten siblings, Paul, Leo, Earl, Joe, Fred, Tennis, Willie Mae, Alice, Edna, and Rosemary; two children, Levon and Stephanie; and a granddaughter, baby Millie.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Randy Jordan (Debra); daughter, Patricia Echols (Michael); granddaughters, Rhonda Forte (Lennett) and Rosalind Echols; two great-grandsons, Kylan Forte and Cole Wilson; one sister-in-law, Barbara Draper (Joe Fred); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins
