Funeral service for Millard “Pete” Steele, 78, will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Mosley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery . Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Steele died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1944, in Lawrence County, to Floyd Steele and Clarocy Sellers Steele. He was employed by Matthews Industries as a production worker for 27 years, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Preceding him in death were his wife: Sharon Bodley Steele, his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
