Milford Wesley Jordan, age 72, passed away in his sleep Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home in Erin, AL.

He was born in Talladega, but was a Clay County resident for most of his life. He attended Clay County High School (class of 1967) and Southern Union in Wadley. He spent some time in Germany while in the Army before coming home and getting married. Soon afterward, he began his 30+ year career at Cheaha State Park where he was in charge of vehicle maintenance and repair.

He enjoyed looking at, working on, or talking about any vehicle……the older and rustier, the better. He could usually be found at any yard sale, swap meet, or junkyard in the Southeast.

He was a member of Clairmont Springs Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Martha Powers Jordan; two sons, Michael Wayne Jordan (Cisgo), and Nick Jordan; one daughter, Erin Jordan Bell (Joshua); 6 grandchildren, Eric Lawrence, Christina Jordan, Kendra Jordan, Jayton Bell, Jonah Bell, and Era Lee Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey W and Mary B Jordan of Ashland, AL; and his sister, Mary Lucile Jordan of Rainbow City, AL.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 26, 2020 on the creek bank near his home.
