Mrs. Mildred Louise McGaha, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 4, 2023.
The visitation will be held Monday May 8, 2023, from 12pm to 2 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with. Bro. Wayne Chappel and Bro. Aaron Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Paint Rock Cemetery.
Mildred was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Claude McGaha; daughters, Sherry Womack (Mike) and Sheila Hare (Robert); sons, Benny McGaha (Shirley), Dennis McGaha (Kelle Cash) and Donald McGaha (Pam); sister, Betty Powell (Deryle) and 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Arnettie Thompson; sisters, Ruby McGaha and Rita Gail Thompson; brothers, Boots, Robert, Clarence, Merl, JL and Charles Thompson.
