Mildred Louise League Loveday – Obituary

Mildred Louise League Loveday, 104, known to many as “Maw” left on her heavenly flight Thursday, June 2, 2016, to be with her Lord and Savior and a host of loved ones gone before her. Maw spent many years preparing herself for this journey. She loved, and was loved by, her family and many friends. Her passing will leave a void in our lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Loveday, and daughter, Joann Fisher.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter Faye Dye with whom she lived; grandchildren: Toni Brooks (Kenny), Joey Dye, Danny Fisher, and Robbie Justice (Tommy); great-grandchildren: Brandon Brooks (Sharron), Brian Brooks (Brandi), John, Will and Matthew Dye, Micah Fisher, and Drew Justice; great-great-grandchildren: Preston Brooks, Allie and Cole Brooks, Hunter Vandiver, and Jason Grubus; sister: Katheryn Thomas; and number of nieces and nephews. She was a charter member of Cedar Gap Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Todd Oldham officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery
