Mrs. Mildred Loriene Gean Mason, 85, of Florence, passed away on February 04, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of Helton Drive Church of Christ, member of NEA, AEA and FLEA. Millie received her BS degree in Business Education at Georgia Southwestern College in Americas, GA and her MA degree at the University of North Alabama.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 07, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Ken Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Billy R. Mason; parents, Virgil and Abilene Gean; grandparents, Tommie Boise Sego and Minnie Pearl Sego and George Wiley Gean and Florence Mattie Perkins; sister, Doris Gean and brother, Carrol Marion Gean.
Survivors include her son, Michael D. Mason; daughters, Wanda L. Mason and Belinda L. Ray; brothers, Kenneth A. Gean and Virgil H. Gean, Jr.; sisters, Geneva (Yvonne) Gean Hill, Mary (Kathleen) Gean Martin and Sharon Elaine Gean Brown; grandchildren, Jeremy Michael Ray, Curtis Michael Mason, Patrick Louis Mason, Brittany Belinda Ray Dillon and Aron Wayne Legg; great-grandchildren, Leighana Michele Ray, Emma Faith Hammond, Bryleigh Mae Hammond, Lana Jane Mason and Nora Leigh Mason.
Serving as pallbeares will be Jeremy Ray, Curtis Mason, Patrick Mason, Aron Legg, Kenneth Gean and Junior Gean.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Felix Morris, nurses with Alacare Home Health and Hospice and Peggy Crosslin and Dee Coggins.
