Mildred Joy Anderson Elliott, 86, of Hartselle passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Rural Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Oma Sullivan Anderson; her husband, Melvin Elliott; three brothers, Malcolm Anderson, David Anderson and Woody Anderson; two sisters, Florence Anderson and Magdalene Hughes; one grandson, Jacob Ramsey Waite and a great- grandson Jeremy Miller. She is survived by her son, Mike Elliott and wife Michelle, of Hartselle, Alabama; three daughters, Doris Orr and husband Shirley, of Hartselle, Alabama, Connie Johnson, of Decatur, Alabama and Angelia Waite and husband Jay, of Madison, Alabama; a sister, Shelby Tyler; 11 grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home, followed by a chapel service at 1 p.m. with Reverend Rusty Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
