Mildred Jean White Stricklin was born on January 16, 1944 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl Bonee White.

Mildred attended a Pentecostal church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, watching old Western movies, and raising cats. Mildred never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to all of her friends on the telephone. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mildred Jean White Stricklin departed this life on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Norman (Marilyn) of Savannah, Tennessee, Roy Norman (Dawn Beck) of Selmer, Tennessee, and Jimmy Ferrell (Tonya Qualls) of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Cecil Wayne White of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Edith Leath and Margie Melson, both of Savannah, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her son, James Arthur Ferrell; daughter, Janie Denise Stricklin; brothers, Roy Browning White, Billy Steve White, Buddy Reed, and Theo Reed; and sister, Wanda Reed.
