Mildred J. Russell age 95 of Rossville, GA went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 6, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Rossville, GA. Mrs. Russell was born March 7, 1920 in Limestone County, AL to Bud T. Brooks and Mattie Clem Brooks.
Services will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Walt Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Rossville, GA.
Preceded in death by her father, Bud Brooks; mother, Mattie Clem Brooks; brother, Walter Brooks; sister, Louise Dalton; Husband, Fred M. Russell; infant son, Harold W. Russell; nephew, J.B. Brooks; niece, Odessa Shelton.
Survived by one daughter, Carol Murphy and husband, Jim of Ringgold, GA; one niece, Dean Broadway and husband, Kent of Toney, AL.
She was a precious, sweet and kind mother and aunt.
