Mildred E. Fleming, 80 of Athens, passed away on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Fleming was born on July 18th, 1944, in Limestone County, to Ruel Wilkinson Stewart, Jr. and Pearlie G. Carter Green.
Mrs. Fleming is survived by her children Angela D. Greene (Kent), Gerald “Dexter” Green, Sandy Ladon Green, and Dianne Fleming (Nathan); sister Liz Yarbrough (Tony); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy D. Fleming; sons Michael Dewayne Green and Jonathan “Tiny” Stewart Green; grandchild Megan Danielle Green; and brother Ruel “Wick” Wilkinson Stewart, III.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fleming will be Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am – 12:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Higgins Cemetery.
