Janet Smith, 72, of Athens, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. She worked at Waffle House, Athens for 32 years.
Visitation will be Friday, November 8th from 12 -1 at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Eroy & Dorothy McCafferty; brother, Don McCafferty and husband, Paul “Smitty” Smith. She is survived by her son, Brian Howell; daughter/granddaughter, Jasmine Howell; special cousins, Laranda Corum and Karen (Kenneth) Downs; numerous other family members that loved her dearly.
