Milburn “Gene” Rodgers, 74, passed away at his daughters home in Tupelo on December 7, 2014. He was born May 3, 1940 to the late Henry Truman Rodgers and Arlene Christian Enright. He worked at MTD after many years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a great husband, father, and Papa and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He is now in the arms of Jesus feeling no more pain. his family is looking forward to our great reunion day.

Survivors include his Mother, Arlene Enright of Fulton, Wife of 58 years, Cecilia Ann Rodgers of Tupelo, Sons: Richard Rodgers of Fulton, Rodney (Jennie) Rodgers of Tupelo, and Randy (Deborah) Rodgers of Smallville, GA; Daughters: Lori Barrett of Tupelo, and Teresa (David) Ashcraft of Tuscaloosa, AL; Grandsons: Gene (Jennifer) Rodgers of Fulton, Steven (Stephanie) Barrett of AL, Sean (Megan) Barrett of AL, Allen Rodgers of GA, Andrew Rodgers of GA, J.T. Locke of GA, and Caleb Rodgers of MS; Granddaughters: Mary (Matthew) Klier of ND, Dianna (Gregg) Sockwell of TX, Misty (Jason) Kyle of AL, Melissa (Johnathan) Longdale of GA, Mayanna Rodgers of GA, Melody Ashcraft of AL, Brianna Ashcraft of AL, Abby Rodgers of MS, and Andrea (Reed) Jones of MS; 25 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Tarlie (Royce) Brooks of AL.

Preceded in death by his Father, Henry Truman Rodgers, Brother, Don Rodgers, Granddaughter, Chloe Mattea Rodgers, Son-in-law, Timmy Barrett.

Pallbearers will be the Grandsons.
