Mikhail Nikolayevich Kochubey, 75, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1950, in Ukraine to Nikolay and Nadezhda Kochubey.He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Aleksandr Kochubey and one sister, Valentina Kochubey.
Mr. Kochubey was a member of Calvary Assembly Church. He enjoyed fishing and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lyudmila, of 52 years; three sons, Ivan Kochubey (Ogla), Yevgeniy Kochubey (Ievgeniia), Aleksey Kochubey (Iryna); four daughters, Zhanna Kocherov, Irina Trainer (Mark), Svetlana Owens (Jeremy), Alina Didok (Yevgeniy); four brothers, Aleksey Kochubey (Zhanna), Sergey Kochubey (Irina), Vasiliy Kochubey (Tatyana), Nikolay Kochubey (Nataliya); two sisters, Vera Lukinova, Oksana Kononov (Aleksey); ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:30 at Thatch-Mann Cemetery with George Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be at McConnell Funeral Home from 12-2 p.m.
