Funeral services for Mike Trimble, 72, of Corinth, Mississippi, are set for Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 2PM at Magnolia Funeral Home East. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 5PM-8PM at Magnolia Funeral Home East. Rev. Larry Cooksey and Bro. Bill Gifford will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Wade Gifford, Justin Barnes, Shane Jourdan, South Mincey, Jason Coley, and Jimmy Mayo. Honorary pallbearers are the “coffee table gang” at Lonnie’s Sporting Goods. Mike was born on March 27, 1952 and went to be with Jesus on September 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband to Cheryl, an amazing, loving father to Michelle and Myra, a loyal brother, a daddy-like uncle, and a best friend to so many. He was hard-working and loyal, spending 22 years working at ITT before transitioning to Automatic Machine Products, where he retired after 22 years. On most mornings, you could find Mike eating breakfast at George’s and sitting around the table at Lonnie’s with the “coffee table gang” of friends. His hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife, Cheryl, of 49 years; his daughter, Michelle Gifford (Wade); daughter, Myra Barnes (Justin); brother, Terry Trimble (Loretta); sister, Darlene Chittom (Danny Joe); grandchildren, Jaxon Barnes, Hendrix Barnes, and Lauren Gifford; several nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Auvern Trimble; mother, Ernestine Trimble; brother, Danny Paul Trimble; brother, Billy Gale Trimble; and sister, Judy Jourdan. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
