Memorial Services for Mr. Mike Rogers, Sr, 73, of Lineville will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Pastor Kenneth Lipham officiating. A private family burial will take place later.
Mike was born in Anniston and lived there until he met “Ms. Kitty”, got married and moved to Lineville. He retired from M&H Valve after working there over 30 years. “Grandaddy” was a great outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish, especially catfishin and running a trot-line. West Point Lake became a favorite spot for Ms. Kitty and Daddy-Pop to go camping.
He is survived by his children, Michael Rogers, Jr. (Melissa) of Sylacauga, Michelle Lipham (Matt) of Munford, Tammy Conway (Bryan) of Weaver, Sandy Harris (Alan Williamson) of Woodland and Scott Turner of Heflin; grandchildren, Jon-Michael (Davin) Rogers, Dexter Headrick, Joshua (Peyton) Lipham, Grace Lipham, Michael Brandon Harris, Savannah (Colton) Hilyer, Matthew Harris, Morgan (Troy) Busby, Melanie Moore and Kayla (Brody) McCoy; great-grandchildren, River Rogers, Saphira Hilyer, Colson Hilyer, Ashton Harris, Lydia Harris, Nevaeh Moore, Nova McCoy, Bentley Baker and Kyler Ferguson; sisters, Rita (Charlie) Roberts and Kay Ray; his children’s mother, Susan Wall and several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Joyce Rogers; wife, Catherine “Kitty” Rogers and nephew, Dustin Morgan.
The family will accept cut flower arrangements or live plants. No stands or large arrangements please.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Sunday from 1:00 until service time.
