Michelle Leanne Carmody Virgo, 49, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on September 28th, 2026. She was born on February 14th, 1977, on Fort Dix in Burlington County, New Jersey, to John Michael Carmody and Velina Christina Hudson.
Michelle is survived by her children, Donald Wayne Carmody, Hailey Christina Virgo, and Hannah Rose Virgo; her sisters, Jessica Darlin Bean and Cynthia Louise Spengler; and her grandchildren, Hunter Dwight Hudson, Aaliyah Annette Hudson, and Enzo Cole.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Velina Christina Hudson; her father, John Michael Carmody; her grandparents, Doyle and Mera Hudson, and Thomas and Cecile Carmody; and her grandchild, Sephera.
Michelle was a faithful christian and a beloved mother, sister, grandparent, and friend to many in the community. Michelle grew up in Selma, Alabama before moving to Huntsville, Alabama where she raised her three children. Michelle graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama and went on to study Criminal Justice at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She was a talented dancer, fiber artist and she enjoyed hiking, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 and developing lymphedema, she became a fierce advocate for lymphedema support and awareness, even starting her own support group.
