Michael Wayne Franks, born September 20, 1952, met his Lord and Savior as he entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Upon his peaceful passing, he was surrounded at his bedside by his loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Collins Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September. 17, 2916, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Ashbank Cemetery. Mickey Crane and Tyler Keene will officiate.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Lee Franks; grandmother, Thelma Williams; sister-in-law, Vicki Weaver Franks; and granddaughter, Michael Cheri Franks.
He is survived by his loving father, Earnest Franks; sisters, Ramona Garrison and Rhonda Hall (Maurice); brother, Carey Franks; special brother, Albert Franks; children, Chris Franks, Angela Cameron (Jonathan), and Belinda Franks; grandchildren, Nick Franks, Wesley Crane, Anthony Crane, Skyler Key, Dallas Tidwell and Bellah Lamb; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends, nurses and staff at Walker Rehabilitation Center.
