Michael Sweda, Sr., 88, Russellville, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with full military honors. Burial will be at Corinth National Cemetery, Corinth, MS.
He is survived by his children, Michael Sweda, Jr., (wife, Cynthia), Ron Sweda (wife, Deborah), Carolyn Rumble (husband, David); grandchildren, Michael Talmadge Sweda, Katie Johnson(husband, Adam), Kristen Sweda, Charles Sweda, Lily Bond, Deanna Rumble, Megan Deleon (Rapheal); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.
