Michael Ray McDowell, 62, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at North Al. Medical Center, Florence, AL. He was born in Birmingham, AL and worked at Tiffin Motor Homes for twenty-seven years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.
Services will be Sunday, October 9, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with David Corum officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years – Maylene McDowell; two sons – Billy Michael McDowell (Lauren Lydic) and Brandon Ray McDowell (Morgan Edgil); four grandchildren – Isabella McDowell, Liam McDowell, Akeria McDowell and Jaxon McDowell; his mother – Barbara Jean McDowell; two sisters – Linda Anderson and Lisa Moses; one brother – Larry McDowell and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray McDowell.
Pallbearers will be Billy McDowell, Brandon McDowell, Donald Lydic, Daniel Peck and Brad James.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
