Michael Ray Jones, 48, of Nauvoo, entered into rest on May 15, 2018 at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham.
Michael was born on June 14, 1969, in Haleyville, Alabama. He graduated from Winston County High School, and then attended Walker College in Jasper. Michael proudly served in the United States Army for 3 ½ years one of which was during the Gulf War. He was lovingly called “Michael P.Q.” by his Aunt Kathy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home, Double Springs where services will be held Friday at 2pm. Brother Steton Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Michael is survived by his son, Tristan Jones; mother, Sandra Jones; brother, Kyle Jones, and grandmother, Dewey Lee Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elton E. Jones.
