Michael Ray Floyd, age 67 of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born on November 15, 1957, in Shelbyville, to the late Ray Floyd Jr. and Yvonne Russell Grant. At the age of twelve, Michael gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at the Tullahoma First Baptist Church. He was currently working at B & B Auto Trim Shop, where he worked in interior restoration. He was skilled with his hands not only in auto work, but he was also a skilled carpenter. Michael was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hiking to look for arrowheads, fishing in his favorite spot at Normandy Lake, target practicing at his outdoor range or working in his garden. His tender heart always looked for those animals in need of a home. Michael will be remembered for his infectious laugh and his soft-spoken nature. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his niece, Crystal Gayle Gibbs Bean. Michael is survived by his stepfather, John Grant; sister, Deborah Floyd Gibbs; nephew, Jonathon (Taylor) Gibbs; great-niece, Serena Gibbs; and great-nephews, Harrison Gibbs, Griffin Gibbs and Asher Gibbs. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the chapel. Interment will follow in Owens Chapel Cemetery with his co-workers from B & B Auto Trim Shop as pallbearers. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)967-2222.
