Michael “Mike” Leon Russell, age 71, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his residence.
Mike attended Pleasant Hill Church. He never met a stranger and always met everyone with a smile. You could not ask for a better husband or dad.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan Procuro Russell; children, John Russell (Sam), Regina Russell, Melissa Russell Sutton (Brian); grandchildren, Bethany Russell, Jonathan Clevidence (Amber), Zachary Clevidence, Sapphire Himes, Amanita “Gia” Himes, Beau Sutton, Aurora Sutton; great-grandchildren, Xavi Russell, Baby Oakland soon to arrive; sisters, Paulette Russell Cole (Tony), Betty Russell Petree; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his parents, J.W. & Geneva (Brown) Russell; and brother, J.W. Russell, Jr.
A life celebration service will be planned at a later date.
