Michael “Mike” Johnson, 59 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Johnson was born on April 7th, 1962, to Daniel Joseph and Shirley Crabtree Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debbie Reynolds Johnson; son Matthew Edward Johnson (Carrie) of Quitman, MS; grandchildren Tegan Sharp, Autumn Rivers, Marley Johnson, Lydia Rivers, Matilda Johnson, and Ezra Johnson; daughter Amy Elizabeth Fields (Justin) of Ardmore, TN; grandchildren Anna Fields, Skyyler Fields, and Bryson Fields; daughter Maria Ellen Smiley (Khristofer) of Elkmont; grandchild Quinton Smiley; father and mother Daniel and Shirley Johnson of Athens; brother Mark Johnson (LeAnne) of Athens; sister LuAnne Johnson of Athens; and mother-in-law Barbara M. Reynolds.
Family and friends are welcome to gather together to remember and celebrate Mike on Thursday, January 20th, 2022, from 4:00-8:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A service and singing will start at 6:30pm.
