Michael Lucian Patterson, 61, passed away Jan. 10, 2014, after an extended illness. Mr. Patterson was born on March 4, 1953, in Florence. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Patterson lived in Iuka, Mississippi and Florence, Alabama. He was a member of Stony Point Church of Christ where a private graveside service will be held.
Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy Patterson, and brother, Dale Patterson.
He is survived by a daughter, Skye Patterson, and brothers, Chris Patterson (Emily), Phillip Patterson (Vicky), Anthony Patterson (Karen), and Doug Patterson (Becky).
The family would like to thank the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home, Stony Point Church of Christ, and all his friends for their support during his long illness.
