Michael Lavon Carson age 67, of Arab passed away Tues. Jan. 18, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital. Mike was born on March 23, 1954, in Guntersville, AL the Son of James Lavon and Dorothy Hamrick Carson. He graduated from J.B. Pennington High School in 1972. He went on to graduate from Jefferson State with a degree in Fire Science and received his degree from UAB in Emergency Services. He retired as a Lt. Paramedic after a long career with Birmingham Fire and Rescue. Mike was a Colonel with the Alabama State Defense Force. He is survived by his Wife: Sheila Carson of Arab; Daughters: Colleen Carson and Kathleen Carson of Arab; Parents: Jim and Dot Carson of Arab; Brother: Lynn Carson of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Host of other family and friends. At the present time, due to the current pandemic, the family will hold a private service. A Memorial Service for Mike Carson will be announced at a later date. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
