Michael Joseph Primeaux Profile Photo Michael Joseph Primeaux, 56, of Saint John’s, FL, entered his eternal rest on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was beloved by family and friends alike. He was born in Beaumont, TX to Ogden and Glenda Primeaux. They moved to Jackson, TN, where he graduated from Northside High School. He received his nursing degree from Union University and earned his master’s degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) from Vanderbilt University.

Upon graduation, Mike worked as a nurse at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Medical Specialty Clinic, Jackson Pulmonary, and Methodist Germantown. Mike was also a professor at Union University prior to working in men’s health. In 2017, Mike helped open men’s clinics in Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida.

Mike was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Jackson, TN, Faith Baptist Arlington, TN, and First Baptist Church Nocatee, FL where he served in the children and youth departments for over 30 years and was affectionately known as “Mr. Mike” or “Mikey P.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ogden and Glenda Primeaux and his siblings, Rodney Primeaux, Julie DeVersa, Cheryl Presley, Joey Primeaux, Cathy Goodrich, and Belinda Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Tamara Rogers Primeaux; his children, Chris and Mica Primeaux; his stepmother, Peggy Primeaux; siblings, Toni (Billy) Maness, Roger DeVersa, and Felicia (Charlie) Scott; his stepbrother Mark Todd; and many other family members.

SERVICES:  A time for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Brian Carlisle officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Primeaux, JD Barnes, Phillip Boyd, Steve Lea, Dale Lesko, Billy Maness, Sammy McNulty, Gregg Nicks, and Kendall Orians. Louie Hailey is an honorary pallbearer.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
