Michael Howard Keith, Jr., 37, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, in Houlka, MS. Michael was an avid fisherman, loving father, and great son. He had a big heart, loved his jail ministry and helping others turn their lives around. He was passionate about leading others to Christ. Michael loved his job and was a great carpenter, loved the outdoors, riding horses, and anything country.
Michael is survived by his father, Mike Keith of Byram; mother, Tina Keith (Larry) of Houlka; sons, Tristan Keith and Cameron Keith of Houston; sister, Brittany Evans (Brad); 3 nieces, Kendra Evans, Valiegh Evans, and Ivy Evans; brothers, Josh, Sean, and Ty Russell; bonus parents, Sam Russell and Michelle Galloway; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stanley Schwalenberg and Hazel McCammon of Houlka; paternal grandparents, Ken Keith of Batesville and Glenda Tackett Jamison of Pontotoc; and his cousin, John David Thomas.
Services will be Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 3PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Linn Hughes officiating. Visitation will begin at 1PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tristan and Cameron Keith, Brad Evans, Shane Burkeen, Nick and Thomas Fuller, Billy Thompson, and Scotty Matthews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Huffman, Sam Russell, Jerry Back, Michael Suddeth, Ty, Sean, and Josh Russell, and Bill Keith.
