Michael Haynes Rice, age 51 of DeArmanville, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was born on October 18, 1972, to Patricia Thrower and the late Gary “Wayne” Haynes.
Michael is survived by his husband, Kenneth Rice; mother, Patricia Thrower; sister, Tonya Haynes Dunn (Clellon Dunn); step sister, Christy Poe Spears (Jason Spears); nieces and nephews, Justin Haynes (Sabrina), Blake Brown, and Jessica Brown; great nieces, Reagan and Kennedy Haynes; and his fur babies, Daisy (the princess), Maddie, and Trixie.
He was a 1991 graduate of Oxford High School. Michael served his country in the US Navy as a search and rescue pilot. Over the years, he managed several restaurants and also held various accounting jobs.
