Michael Glenn (aka Legend) Darby was born on August 16, 1961, in Sheffield, AL to John Luther and Mary Bell Darby. Mike transitioned from this earthly life to eternity on February 8, 2024; whereas, he will be missed by his family and friends. Mike enjoyed meeting new people, spending his entire life in Sheffield, except theshort time he lived in Seattle, WA. Mike accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at First Missionary Baptist Church of Sheffield, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Johnella Darby and Bonnie Sue Darby.
Mike attended Sheffield High School. Like his grandfather Clarence Adams, Mike had a love and talent for masonry work; whereas, he was employed with various companies. Mike loved all types of sportsand played football in high school. Mike always had a smile and was well known throughout the community and was loved by all. Mikeloved little children and enjoyed playing with them. He loved his dogs and treated them as his children. Mike was a funny guy, always had a funny story to share with you that kept you laughing aboutsomeone or something that happened.
