Michael Gene Green 75 of Peppertown Community, passed away, Tuesday October 29, 2024 at his daughter’s home in Guntown. He was born April 28, 1949 to the late Perdie Candler Green and the late Mandy Irene Wardlaw Green. He was a member of Fulton Methodist Church. He was a graduate of IAHS and attended ICC. Michael worked for U. S. Army Corps of Engineers for several years on the waterway in Fulton, in Carrabelle, FL and Forth Worth, TX. He also worked at Cooper Tire for 25 years before he retired. He was a hunter when he was young but as he got older he would rather watch the deer, squirrels and birds. His favorite hobby was fishing and he enjoyed hunting arrowheads. He was very passionate about his concerns over what is happening in this country and loved having long, deep conversations about it.
A memorial service will be 12:00 Saturday, November 2, 2024, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am all at Senter Funeral Home chapel with Bro. John Foster officiating.
Michael leaves behind his daughter, Amanda McCarley (Matt) of Guntown; granddaughters, Anna Grace Dulaney, Sarah Dulaney, Olivia McCarley; sister, Peggy Pearce; brother-in-law, Bobby Cooley; daughter-in-law, Belle Green; two nephews and a great niece and nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Maudie Allene Green, and his son, Darrin Michael Green.
