Michael Eugene “Mikey” Hudson, 53 of the Hulaco – Ryan Community, passed away Saturday March 24, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Hudson was born December 22, 1964 in Douglasville, Georgia to William Allen Hudson and Mary Sue Grantham Hudson. He was a 1982 graduate of Brewer High School. Mr. Hudson was employed by Toray Composite Manufacturing in Decatur as a Process Engineering Supervisor. He and the former Manilia Anne Nelms were married for 25 years. Mr. Hudson enjoyed singing, picking the Banjo and playing games. He also coached softball and was a referee for soccer.
He was a dedicated member of Ryan Baptist Church, where he used his God given talents serving as a Deacon, Music Leader and Teacher.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife of 25 years: Manilia Hudson; his sons: Jordan Michael Hudson and fiancé’ Allison Kate Rainwater and Caleb Timothy Hudson; his father: William Allen “Bill” Hudson; his brothers and sister-in-law: Greg Hudson and Cara Painter and Terry Hudson and Jana; his nieces and nephews: Hannah Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Matthew Hudson and Wil Hudson; his great nephew and niece: Connor Hudson and Haven Hudson. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Sue Hudson; she passed away October 25, 2017.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 27, 2018 at Ryan Baptist Church with Brothers: Terry Hudson and Michael King, officiating. He will lie in state at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Timothy Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Matthew Hudson, Wil Hudson, Alex Whisenant and Aaron Pica.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday March 26, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
