Michael Edward “Mike” Denihan, age 64, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at his home with his family at his side.
Mike was born August 26, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Richard Denihan and Mrs. Sharon Vanderwarker Cox who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Denihan.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Ann Vanderwarker Cox; step-father Harold (Renee) Cox; wife of 45 years Susan Phillips Denihan; two sons, Michael (Megan) Denihan of Belfast and Timothy (Jaimie) Denihan of Cornersville; five granddaughters, Katie, Peyton, Addie, Presley, and Ryleigh; brother Pat Denihan of Cornersville.
He will be remembered as someone who cherished spending time with friends and family, enjoyed traveling, and found joy in watching football and NASCAR racing. He worked faithfully at General Motors for 30 years, where his dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression. He attended Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was part of a community of faith and fellowship. His life was marked by love, loyalty, and the simple pleasures he shared with those closest to him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations in Mike’s memory be made to the Marshall County Cancer Foundation, PO Box 82, Belfast, TN 37019.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
