Michael Doyce Briscoe, age 69 years, a lifelong resident of Jasper, Alabama, passed away on May 20, 2021 . He was born on January 16, 1952, the son of Dr. Doyce Briscoe and Mildred Best Briscoe.
Michael graduated from Walker High School, Class of 1970. A decorated veteran, Michael served 22 years in the Air Force, 117th Intelligence Squadron, including active service during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
Michael attended the University of Montevallo where he earned his Master of Social Work Degree. He was employed by the Department of Human Resources in Jasper for many years.
Michael is predeceased by his wife, Betty McKay Briscoe, mother, Mildred Best Briscoe, his sister, Patricia Briscoe Hamilton. Michael is survived by his father Dr. Doyce Briscoe and nephews Michael Hamilton and Parker Hamilton.
A service of remembrance and burial will be held for family members at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 .
