Michael D. Newman, 62 of Arab passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at UAB Medical Center. Michael was born December 9, 1958 in Richmond, Virginia the son of Robert D. “Bob” Newman and Emma Buckner Newman. He was a graduate of Arab High School, shortly after graduation he began his military career serving his country with honor and courage in the US Army spending 25 years. After his retirement he began working with UPG Propane Gas Company.
He is survived by his Sister: Audrey Bynum (Alan) of Arab; Brothers: Allen Newman and Don Newman both of Arab; Host of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bob and Emma Newman.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Stanton, Bobby Childers, Alan Bynum, Don Newman, Allen Newman and Joshua Stanton.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel.
