Michael Bruce Poole Profile Photo Michael Bruce Poole was born on October 24, 1951 in Florence, Alabama, the son of the late Vernon Ancil and Ann Elizabeth Barlow Poole.

Bruce retired from PCA after 42 years of employment. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Bruce was an avid golfer and loved to go golfing and compete in tournaments any chance he could. Every day he was off, Bruce could be found on the golf course and he had gotten very good at the sport. He was a huge UT fan and enjoyed attending all types of UT games, especially football. He also loved to watch the World Series baseball games and never missed a game. He enjoyed going out to eat and watching television in his spare time. Bruce had so many friends and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Michael Bruce Poole departed this life on April 24, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 74 years and 6 months.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Poole Austin (Tony) of Fairview, Tennessee; niece, Whitney Jordan (Gary) of Burns, Tennessee; and great niece, Eleanor Jordan. Bruce is also survived by his previous wife, Connie, who he remained close friends with and shared a companionship of 24 years, and Connie’s children, Kenneth Brashier of Memphis, Tennessee and Lacey Brashier of Savannah, Tennessee, as well as Kenneth’s daughter, Madison Brashier.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his great nephew, Matthew Austin Jordan.
