Michael Bishop, 48, of Bolivar, passed from this life on Friday afternoon, September 1, 2023.
He was born Tuesday, January 7, 1975, in Jackson, the son of William H. and Judy Simpson Bishop, who survive, and lived most of his life in the Bolivar area. He spent the majority of his adult life working in fuel transport, and the past 18 years for Gemini Transportation. He married Ashley Campbell on October 5, 2013, and enjoyed traveling, vintage dirt bike racing and just life in general.
Survivors include his wife, Ashley Campbell Bishop of Bolivar; two daughters, Anna Bishop of Gulf Shores and Callie Sisco of Bolivar; a son, Robbie Bishop of Gulf Shores; his parents, William and Judy Bishop of Magnolia Springs, AL; a brother, Jonathan Bishop of Lebanon, TN; his grandmother, Patsy Fulghum of Fairhope, AL; a mother in law, Charlotte Chesney (Dave) of Nunnelly, TN; 2 brother in laws, Collin Campbell (Erin) of Hendersonville and Kenny Chesney of Nashville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
