Michael Anthony Short, 69, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 At Signature Health Care Services in Nashville, Tennessee. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley S. Haraway; daughter in law[kt1] , Tracy N. Haraway; and 3 grandchildren; Archer R. Haraway, Tucker W.Haraway and Piper J. Haraway. He is survived by 4 siblings, Gerald D. Short, Tim L. Short, Gail S. Jackson, Sharon A. Conradi, and Kristie L. Short-Traxler. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J Short; mother, Myrle H. Short and four brothers, Billy Stephen Short Sr., Billy Steven Short Jr., Charles Gary and Bobby Delmore Short. Mr. Short was born and raised in Moulton Alabama, and then a lifelong resident of Huntsville.Mr. Short attended high school at Madison Academy with further education at David Lipscomb College before graduating from UAH in 1974 with a degree in English. Mr. Short worked as a civil servant for Army Material Command at Redstone Arsenal until his retirement in 1998.
Visitation and memorial service will be held for Mr. Short at Spry Funeral home in Huntsville, Alabama on 20th January at 1:00 pm with a private scattering of the ashes by the family.
