Michael Andrew Adderholt, after a valiant battle with esophageal cancer, went to the spirit in the sky from NMMC Hospice Unit at 8 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was 51. Michael was born in Tupelo on July 31, 1975 and is the son of Sammy Lane Adderholt and Peggy Anne Monts Adderholt. Michael graduated from Tupelo High School in 1993, attended Itawamba Community College and Mississippi State University. He proudly served in Country in the US Navy for 4 years and was a 100 % disabled American soldier. He loved working with his hands and was a lumber saw miller which brought him great satisfaction.
A memorial service honoring his life and times will be held at 3 PM Friday, September 4, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Rev. Jeremy Funderburk and Steve Holland speaking. Visitation will be from 1 PM to service time Friday only. His cremains will be scattered in the Gulf according to Navy traditions near Pensacola, where he did his basic training.
