  Michael Anthony Mando Profile PhotoMichael A. Mando, age 71, of Madison, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a dedicated civil servant.

Born on July 13, 1952 to the late Anthony Mando and late Anna Tabak, Michael grew up alongside his siblings Frank, Jim, and Louise. He graduated from Gannon University in 1974 and embarked on a distinguished 40-year career with the Department of Defense Army Aviation where he received numerous commendations for his expertise in electrical engineering.

Michael found love with Andrea Balkovic, and they cherished 49 years of marriage. Together, they raised two daughters, Jessica Michele and Victoria Jeanne, in a loving and supportive home. Jessica and her husband, Cary Pool, blessed them with two grandchildren, Logan Michael and Morgan Mattie, who brought immense joy to Michael’s life. He was a constant source of love, guidance, and fun for his children and grandchildren, always there with a helping hand.

Beyond his dedication to family and career, Michael was a man of many hobbies. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and was often found tinkering away in his workshop, a haven for his creativity and problem-solving skills. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, and his devotion to those he loved. One of his most defining qualities was his willingness to help and share his knowledge.

Services to honor and remember Michael Mando will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home And Crematory in Madison, AL on April 2nd, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with the funeral service following at 5:00 P.M.

May he rest in peace knowing he made a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
