Michael A. Cupples, a child of God, loving husband, father, son and brother, went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 12th, 2023, in Nashville, TN. Born August 19th, 1974, to the late William A. “Tony” Cupples (Judy A. Cupples) and Barbara Prater Seagraves (Tim B. Seagraves). A native of Henderson County, Michael served his community well in the time he spent here on this earth. Formerly serving on the Henderson Co. Rescue Squad and with the Henderson County Volunteer Fire Department in his younger years, Michael most recently served on the Lexington Soccer Board, where he also coached, and as a pastor for Bear Creek Church and Pleasant Springs Church. Michael was the epitome of a servant’s heart personally and professionally as he worked full time as a registered nurse for Baptist Memorial Hospital. Michael believed in loving like Jesus and was most often found with a smile on his face with a willingness to help those in need. He was a friend to many and has left a legacy of love and kindness to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Michael is survived by his wife and best friend of 22 years, Jana Evans Cupples: his two sons Evan and Ian; his brother, Timothy A. Seagraves (Amber); his sister Amy Cupples Daniels, along with his nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Nebo Methodist Church in Beech Bluff with interment to follow in Nebo Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive your love and support for Michael on Friday evening from 4-8PM and on Saturday 10:00am-1:30pm at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington.
