A Waterloo mother and her son were arrested for manufacturing meth in the Hillcrest Motel in Sheffield.

The Hillcrest Motel on Jackson Highway in Sheffield, AL.

Tammy Rhodes, 50, and Donald Rhodes, 29, from Waterloo, were staying at the motel when they were arrested. Two labs were found on the property. These were the bottle type labs using the “shake and bake” method. Police believe they were making the drug for their own personal use and not for sale. A shotgun was also confiscated. An anonymous tip led to the arrests.
