Meta M. Brown, 89, of Huntsville passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Pete” R. Brown.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte B. Gallaher, who provided special care during her long illness; son, James L. “Jim” Brown; daughters, Nancy B. Clift and Susan B. Schmarkey; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Katie B. Sisk.
Meta was born January 23, 1925. She had over a 30year career in banking. Her church membership is First Baptist of Huntsville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon Monday, January 12, 2015 in Laughlin Service Chapel with Pastor Mark Seanor officiating.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Alzheimer Association.
