Merle Roberts Osborn, age 83, passed away peacefully at Decatur Morgan Hospital on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born June 30, 1934, in Lawrence County to George and Thelma Hogan Burchell.
Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Joe Roberts, a son: Arthur Lyle Roberts, and a daughter: Marilyn Roberts Jeffreys. Survivors include her Husband, Palmer Osborn.
One Son: Joe Mark Roberts (Rita), Hartselle, AL, Two Brothers:
Bud Burchell (Sherry) and Jim Mack Burchell (Denise), Two Sisters:
Sis McCaghren (Billy) and Jerry McGaugh (Joe), Eight Surviving Grand- Children: Lendy Hancock (Mike), Leslie Dawson (Lonnie), Jacob Roberts,
Johanna Folds (Jeremy), Josh Roberts, Crystal Hopson (Grant), Cara Randolph (Kurt) and Chuck Roberts (Ashley), fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
She was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and owned and operated Joe Roberts Store in Hartselle for over 50 years.
Funeral service for Merle Roberts Osborn, 83, will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
