Mr. Merle Blake Landis passed away at home with family on Thursday morning November 30, 2017, he was 89 years old. He was born to Merle Dewey and Orpha Mutschelknaus Landis in Ohio on September 3, 1928.
Mr. Landis is survived by his children, Sherrie Landis and Merlene (Tony) Pitt; grandchildren, Kelly (Allen) Fowler, Andy (Kendra Wood) Clark, Tom (Jennifer) Turk and Mark Turk; great grandchildren; Allen Fowler III, Morgan Fowler, Nahaniya Fowler, Zephania Fowler, Thomas Turk and Emily Turk and a sister-in-law Gloria Landis.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred Landis; his parents; siblings, Lowell Landis and Jayne Silva; a brother-in-law Daniel Silva and a grandson, John Damon Clark.

The family welcomes everyone to celebrate the life of Merle with them on Tuesday, December 5th 12 noon at Central Severnth-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Jeff Walper officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 4th from 6 until 8 pm at Hampton Cove Funeral Home, he will lie in state an hour prior to service on Tuesday.
